MATERIALS Bernat Baby Coordinates (160 g/5.6 oz) Sizes 6 mos–1 ball; 12 mos–2 balls; 18 mos–2 balls; 24 mos–2 balls Sizes 3.75 mm (U.S. 5) and 4 mm (U.S. 6) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge. 5 buttons. GAUGE: 22 sts and 30 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] with larger needles in stocking st.

INSTRUCTIONS: The instructions are written for smallest size. If changes are necessary for larger sizes the instructions will be written thus ( ).
BACK With smaller needles, cast on 52 (58-64-70) sts. Knit 5 rows, noting first row is WS and inc 5 sts evenly across last row. 57 (63-69-75) sts. Change to larger needles and proceed in stocking st until work from beg measures 6½ (7-7¾-8½) ins [16.5 (18-19.5-21.5) cm], ending with RS facing for next row. Shape armholes: Cast off 5 (7-8-10) sts beg next 2 rows. 47 (49-53-55) sts. Cont even until armhole measures 4½ (5-5¼-5½) ins [11.5 (12.5-13-14) cm], ending with RS facing for next row. Cast off. LEFT FRONT **With smaller needles, cast on 25 (28-31-34) sts. Knit 5 rows, noting first row is WS and inc 2 sts evenly across last row. 27 (30-33-36) sts. Change to larger needles and proceed in stocking st until work from beg measures 6½ (7-7¾-8½) ins [16.5 (18-19.5-21.5) cm], ending with RS facing for next row. Shape armhole: Next row: Cast off 5 (7-8-10) sts. Knit to end of row. 22 (23-25-26) sts. Cont even until armhole measures 2½ (3-3¼-3½) ins [6 (7.5-8-9) cm], ending with WS facing for next row. Neck shaping: Next row: Cast off 6 (6-7-7) sts. Purl to end of row. 16 (17-18-19) sts. Dec 1 st at neck edge on next 3 rows then every following alt row to 11 (12-12-13) sts. Cont even until work from beg measures same length as Back to shoulders, ending with RS facing for next row. Cast off.

RIGHT FRONT Work from ** to ** as given for Left Front. Work to correspond to Left Front, reversing all shapings.

SLEEVES
With smaller needles, cast on 35 sts. Knit 5 rows, noting first row is WS and inc 4 sts evenly across last row. 39 sts. Change to larger needles and proceed in stocking st, inc 1 st each end of needle on 5th and every following 4th row until there are 51 (55-59-61) sts. Cont even until work from beg measures 6 (7½-8-9) ins [15 (19-20.5-23) cm] ending with RS facing for next row. Place a marker at each end of last row. Work a further 6 (8-10-12) rows even. Cast off.

HOOD With smaller needles, cast on 93 (93-99-99) sts. Knit 5 rows, noting first row is WS and inc 6 sts evenly across last row. 99 (99-105-105) sts. Proceed in stocking st, dec 1 st each end of needle on 3rd and following alt rows until there are 75 (75-81-81) sts. Cont even until work from beg measures 7 (7¼-7½-8) ins [18 (18.5-19-20.5) cm], ending with RS facing for next row. Shape back seam: Cast off 7 sts beg next 8 rows. Cast off rem 19 (19-25-25) sts.

FINISHING: Pin garment pieces to measurements, cover with a damp cloth and allow cloth to dry. Buttonhole Band: With RS of Right Front facing for Her or Left Front facing for Him and smaller needles, pick up and knit 50 (58-62-66) sts evenly between neck edge and lower edge. Knit 3 rows. 4th row: (RS). K2. *K2tog. yfwd. K9 (11-12-13). Rep from * 3 times more. K2tog. yfwd. Knit to end of row. Knit 2 rows. Cast off knitwise (WS). Button Band: Work as given for Buttonhole Band on Left Front for Her or Right Front for Him, omitting all reference to buttonholes. Sew shoulder seams. Fold Hood in half at back and sew back seam. Pin and then sew shaped edge of Hood to neck opening, beg at center of button or buttonhole bands and matching back seam of Hood to center back neck edge. Sew in Sleeves placing rows above markers along armhole edges of Fronts and Back to form square armholes. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew buttons to correspond to buttonholes.
I have used press button which will be easy you all can use which every is convenient for you.

Baby Booties, Hat, Blanket

These one i made to my friend who just had her baby last month its was fun making it and i hope u all will also have fun to make it too

Baby Booties :

Materials:

Size 6 and 8 straight needles, 1 ball of wool in the color of Ur choice, scissors, large eye needle

With larger needles, CO 33 st. K 12 rows.

Begin decreases for instep:

Row 1: K 13, K2tog, K3, SSK, K across.

Row 2: P 12, P2tbl, P3, P2tog, P across.

Continue decrease pattern until 21 st remain.

Change to smaller needles. Work in K1, P1 rib for 12. Bind off loosely in rib. Sew back and bottom seams. Weave in ends.

Baby HAT:
Cast on 56 stitches. Work in Garter stitch (knit every stitch on every row) until there are a total of 48 rows (24 ridges). Bind off all stitches, leaving a long tail.

Fold rectangle in half lengthwise and use tail to sew seam. Seam is center back of Hat. At one open end of Hat, sew center front to center back at seam to make top of Hat. Bring center of each side in to meet at top of Hat and sew together. Weave in ends by threading each end into large-eyed blunt needle, then weaving the end through the knitted stitches.

Hi to all Knitting lover's.
I was not at all in to knitting and crochet thought i loved doing all kinds of art until i had my son who is now three and half . I started knitting two years back and since i am knitting and it has become my part of work in my daily routine work .
when my Son was just a year old i moved to US (Chicago) and its was peek winter that's when we went to buy sweater for him it was so pretty and nice i felt like buying all of them from the store which is not possible at all :) , then in our apt complex we had a group of ladies who use knit and crochet i just happened to visit and liked it so much and decided to knit some thing for my son too ...
That's it from that time i have been knitting and love to do more and more variation in them
Here is some of my project which i am going to post it in my knit and crochet blog so all those who r still thing of to start knit can just do it

Bootees
Materials :
50g ball of Caron wool MC (any color),small amount of white wool (A)
pair each of US 8 knitting needles , pair of scissors and tapestry needles

Measurements:
to fit 3-9 months

Bootees

Upper part
with needles and MC cast on 57 sts
beg with a knit row, work on 6 rows in st st.
Dec row:
k20,k2tog,k13,k2tog tbl ,k20
P1 row.
Dec row:
K19,K2tog,K13,K2tog tbl,K19
P1Row.
Dec row:
K18,K2tog,K13,K2tog tbl,K18
P1 Row.
cont in this way Dec 2 sts in ever alt row until 39 sts rem.
P1Row.
Next Row K1,[P1,K1] to end.
Next Row P1,[P1,K1] to end.

Sole:
With pair of needles and A , cast on 13 sts . K 40 Rows . Cast off
knit wise.

To make up:
Join back seam of bootees , reversing seam on cuff . sew the sole
with MC take a cord of 36 cm long and thread through sts just below rib .
turn back cuff .
Make one more

1 ball Grey(MC)(Caron),small amount of black wool(A), and white wool(B),
pair of 6mm (us 6)needles, scissors

Measurements:
to fit 1 to 4 years

BABY/KID SCARF

Rib pattern: K1,P1..... to end.

with needles and MC cast on 30sts
beg with a Rib pattern work on 10 rows.
continuing the scarf with pattern
Row 1 : K5, P1,K5,P1... till end .
Row 2: P5, K1,P5,K!.... till end.
work on 12 Rows .
*with A work on 4 rows following the pattern then change to MC and work on 12 rows and then again with A work on 4 rows
with MC work on 12 rows and with B work on 4 rows and again with MC work on 12 rows and with A work on 4 rows .**

continue with MC till the scarf measures .
repeat from* to ** and the by following the rib pattern work on 12 rows and cast off right side .
